Privacy policy

FreshWhips is a small car detailing business. This page explains what we do with the information you give us, in plain terms.

1. What we collect

When you book, you give us:

• Your name
• Your email address, where your confirmation goes
• A phone number, so we can reach you about the car
• Your car, as you describe it, and its size
• The service you pick
• Anything you type into the notes box

If you tick the box to get texts about your booking, we keep a record that you agreed, and when. Reply STOP to any text and we stop.

That is the whole list. We do not run analytics, advertising pixels or third-party trackers on this site, so we do not collect your browsing history, your location, or anything you have not typed in yourself.

2. Why we collect it

To hold and confirm your booking, tell you where to drop the car off, get the job right for your vehicle, and contact you if something changes. We do not use your details for marketing and we do not send newsletters.

3. Storage on your device

Booking needs no account and no sign-in. While you fill in the booking form, your browser keeps what you have typed in that tab, so going back a step or reloading the page does not lose it. It is cleared when the booking goes through or you close the tab, and it never leaves your device until you press Confirm booking.

We do not use cookies for tracking, advertising or measurement.

4. Who else sees it

Your booking details go to the person who will be detailing your car. To run the booking system we use a few service providers, who handle your details only to provide that service to us:

• Render hosts this website and the booking system.
• Supabase stores the booking database.
• The companies that deliver our texts and emails carry the messages we send you, such as your booking confirmation.
• If we get booking alerts as phone notifications, a short alert with your name, the service and the time passes through ntfy, the service that delivers them.

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone else unless the law requires it.

5. How long we keep it

Bookings and the messages we sent about them are kept for up to two years so we have a record of work done and can look up a repeat customer, then deleted automatically. Sign-in codes are deleted within two days. Ask us to delete your details sooner and we will.

6. Your rights

You can ask us to:

• Tell you what information we hold about you
• Correct anything that is wrong
• Delete it

Email book@freshwhipsdetailing.com or call or text (945) 267-9590, and we will deal with it within 45 days. Texas residents have these rights under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act; we extend them to everyone because keeping two systems would be silly.

7. Photographs of your vehicle

We sometimes photograph finished work for the gallery on this site and for social media. We ask before taking photos, and you can say no without it affecting anything. We do not publish license plates, house numbers or anything else that identifies where you live. If something of yours is already published and you want it taken down, email us and it will be removed.

8. Children

This site is meant for adults booking a service. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you think a child has sent us their details, email us and we will delete them.

9. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it and the change is listed here.

• October 23, 2026: booking no longer needs a sign-in or a confirmation link, so section 3 now describes only the unfinished booking kept in your browser tab; a phone number is now asked for with every booking.
• September 29, 2026: sign-in is by email for now; section 3 now describes the sign-in token, and the booking form no longer keeps unfinished bookings on your device.
